Circular Economy to Turn into a Value-Creating Business at Mobarakeh Steel

Mohammad Reza Sharifi, Deputy of Strategy and Technology Development at Mobarakeh Steel Company, referred to the importance of global trends in the steel industry and stated: One of the most critical topics discussed in major companies worldwide is the circular economy; a subject that has today transformed into a new business, creates value, and plays a significant role in enhancing companies’ sustainability and competitive capability.

He added, stating that Mobarakeh Steel has taken considerable actions in this direction: A project that took over a year has been presented today through the efforts of our colleagues, and important areas such as energy management, greenhouse gas reduction, moving towards green steel, water management, and other related fields were examined within the framework of the circular economy. 

The Deputy of Strategy and Technology Development at Mobarakeh Steel Company said: Specific projects have been designed for each of these areas, which, in addition to improving productivity, can bring new economic benefits and revenue generation for Mobarakeh Steel.

 He continued: In the strategy document of the Mobarakeh Steel Group, concepts such as the circular economy, smartization (smart systems implementation), and world-class standing are among the main and strategic axes.
