Mobarakeh Steel Awarded International Business Continuity Management (ISO ۲۲۳۰۱) Certificate

CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group announced upon receiving the International Business Continuity Management (ISO 22301) Certificate: Saeed Zarandi, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, announced the success of the complex in obtaining the International Business Continuity Management (ISO 22301) Standard Certificate and said: Following two audit stages and based on the opinion of the auditors from ARIAN TUV PASARGAD Company (the exclusive representative of MTIC Group Switzerland and Intercert Germany), Mobarakeh Steel was recommended to the MTIC Group for registration and issuance of the certificate based on the results, as the first industrial company in Iran to successfully implement the BCM standard (ISO 22301:2019).

 This achievement is an important step in upgrading organizational resilience, increasing the organization’s preparedness against unforeseen disruptions, and ensuring the continuity of Mobarakeh Steel’s vital operations.

He continued: In today’s challenging and unpredictable environment, where organizations face various risks and threats, having a systematic and integrated approach to risk management and increasing resilience is the primary condition for achieving the goals and realizing the vision of any organization; this issue is no longer a limited, specialized matter, but a strategic imperative for survival, competitiveness, and the creation of sustainable value.

 The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group referred to the implementation of this Business Continuity Management System, within the framework of an integrated management model for Mobarakeh Steel, as a fundamental step and added: This standard provides a framework through which disruption scenarios can be analyzed, the crisis command structure can be strengthened, key process recovery plans and schemes can be formulated, and ultimately, the reliance of production on environmental conditions and unexpected disruptions can be reduced.

Saeed Zarandi considered the result of this approach to be an increase in organizational resilience and reliability against various threats, including energy, cyber, infrastructural, environmental, and supply chain issues, and stated: Currently, resilience is not just an organizational necessity; it is a national need.

The country requires a similar framework at the national level to maintain production sustainability, supply vital goods, ensure the continuity of public services, and counter natural, economic, infrastructural, and technological crises.

 Business Continuity Management must be addressed at the country’s macro level, in infrastructural industries, and vital networks as a strategic requirement. He concluded by saying: Mobarakeh Steel, as the Iran’s largest steel producer and one of the key players in the national value chain, is ready to share its experience in establishing this standard and management system—in the form of designing a resilience system, developing crisis management structures, and implementing business continuity plans—with other industries and national bodies.
